Porsche GT3 RS 3.8 with GMG Exhaust
I found this Porsche GT3 RS 3.8 by sneaking into a private neighborhood somewhere in Austin; that’s right, Autovoce is going gorilla. Ok, the truth is a very cool owner invited me to shoot this car. Personally, I believe every garage with more than two bays (or a lift) should contain a Porsche GT3 RS: It looks incredible and it’s built for the track, what else could you want? Besides being one of the greatest supercars of all time, this particular GT3 RS features all the options and a few intelligent personal touches. Inside you will find alcantara covered bucket seats, a GMG roll-Bar, an aluminum floor mat, a fire extinguisher and an optional switch to control a nose lift, a necessity for driving in Austin. You will also find a riser plate on the accelerator pedal intended to smooth out heel-toe operation. Outside, the wheels have been cambered three degrees to improve tire wear and the exhaust upgraded with a GMG center section. The smartest upgrade lies under the front trunk lid, a small battery. I’m not sure why more owners haven’t used this modification, sure the battery requires a jump now and then, but the weight savings are astronomical. While I’m a huge fan of the practical personal touches, the thing I love most about this car is that it was out on the track the day before the shoot.
Notice how clean this GT3 RS is right after a track weekend? You can blame Dust to Glory.
